Brooklyn Nets Forward Jalen Wilson Named NBA 2k25 Summer League 2024 Most Valuable Player

BROOKLYN – The NBA announced today that Brooklyn Nets forward Jalen Wilson has been named the Most Valuable Player of NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024.

Wilson appeared in all five of Brooklyn’s games, registering averages of 21.8 points (fourth among players to play in multiple games), 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 29.4 minutes per game. He shot 47.3 percent from the field, 55.0 percent from 3-point range (on eight attempts per game) and 89.5 percent from the free-throw line. The 23-year-old knocked down more 3-pointers than any other player in Las Vegas (22), finished second in total points (109) and ranked third in 3-point percentage among players that attempted five or more threes per game. In Brooklyn’s first summer league game on July 12, Wilson tallied 25 points (8-of-17 shooting from the field, 5-of-9 shooting from distance and 4-of-4 shooting from the free-throw line) and seven rebounds in 31 minutes in a victory over the Indiana Pacers. He added 27 points (8-of-16 shooting from the floor, 5-of-10 shooting from 3-point range and 6-of-8 shooting from the free-throw line) in 30 minutes in a win over the New York Knicks on July 16. The Denton, Texas, native’s best performance came in a win over the Orlando Magic on July 18 in which he totaled 33 points (11-of-20 shooting from the field, 6-of-7 shooting from deep and 5-of-5 shooting from the free-throw line) and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes.

In addition to being named MVP, Wilson earned All-Summer League Second Team honors. Wilson is the second Net to earn MVP honors at summer league, joining Cam Thomas, a 2021 Co-MVP honoree. Wilson also earned All-Summer League Second Team honors in Las Vegas last summer after averaging 17.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 30.0 minutes per contest at NBA 2K24 Summer League 2023.
